New integration partnership was signed recently between WinScribe, developer of the world's most widely used digital dictation workflow software and Interwoven, a global leader in content management solutions. WinScribe has integrated Interwoven WorkSite, an award-winning solution for matter-centric document management, with the WinScribe digital dictation solution. The integrated solution will help law firms to better control their workflow management, fundamentally improve the way they interact, communicate and exchange critical legal data across their extended enterprise.
Legal professionals can attach or link to important files stored in WorkSite and to accompany a dictation before it is routed to secretaries for transcription. This process should save time for both the author and secretary as the author will no longer need to inform or tell the secretary about other related documents required to transcribe the dictation. When the dictation file is opened, the secretary will receive a notification from WorkSite in WinScribe that there are attachments or links required to include in the transcription.
After the secretary has completed transcribing the job and the document is saved in WorkSite, the secretary will then be able to easily attach a link with the dictation file to a document stored in WorkSite. This will benefit lawyers when reviewing their documents before they sign off and also removes the need for paper drafts going back and forth between lawyers and secretaries. WorkSite also provides the user with a way to incorporate all forms of matter-related material into a single protected and searchable desktop integration.
"It is not enough to simply offer an elegant solution for the dictation and transcription of documents. We are finding our customers need a total solution - one that handles the workflow elements of transcription well. As an Interwoven Technology Partner, and by integrating the WinScribe solution with Worksite, we meet our objective to help customers save valuable time by improving their workflow management," stated Matthew Weavers, Chief Executive Officer, WinScribe.
He added: "Effective Electronic File Management incorporates ever expanding and more complex forms of media, such as digital dictation," said John Kenyon, Director of Worldwide Professional Services Channels and Alliances. "WinScribe's solution integrated with WorkSite ensures that one of the most commonly used media can be incorporated into the client file, thereby increasing the file's fidelity and providing a way to incorporate it into the overall firm information management policy."
