A Dallas-based innovator of Web-based litigation and electronic discovery technologies, InterLegis, Inc., today announced their new visual analytics capability, DataMapper, is integrated with the widely popular data preview module within Discovery360™, the company's flagship e-discovery product. DataMapper offers, in addition to robust reporting and graphing tools, document culling and preview prior to processing an entire data collection, reducing overall processing costs and expedites document review for law firms and corporations facing large cases and projects.
Visual analytics, introduced in January of this year, is InterLegis' latest technology development that is revolutionizing the way legal professionals see their data. Not only to simplify the search and review process, but also to provide the user a more engaging and interesting method for what typically has been a very tedious and mundane activity, is graphical mapping of data offered by Visual analytics. To further improve the pre-culling phase of the electronic discovery process, this unique technology is now applied to DataMapper.
By allowing them to reduce the document collection before processing by testing "what-if" scenarios and removing duplicate documents, DataMapper is a secure, browser-based tool that delivers considerable time and cost savings to legal teams. Culling large volumes of documents online using custodians, authors, concepts, keywords, dates and a full range of meta data to discover potentially relevant and responsive documents, legal teams can set their electronic data discovery strategy early. DataMapper offers, now with the addition of visual analytics, an even deeper analysis of the data.
To create a visual mapping of large collections of unstructured data, allowing them to analyze any set of attributes, not just concepts, users of DataMapper can now choose from six different tools. The result is even faster culling by leveraging the visual nature of the human mind to quickly see relevant trends in data - pre-processing.
More and more corporations and their outside counsel are finding it best to control their data throughout as much of the process as possible, which is among the key benefits offered by InterLegis' DataMapper. The ability to reduce collections to more manageable sets on the front end, additionally, prevents users from paying to have irrelevant data processed.
Including the new visual analytics capability, DataMapper, is a complimentary service offered to InterLegis clients using the company's EDD processing services. Clients are charged only on the export of selected data; Tiff and/or native export files are included at no additional cost; and the export can be made to any common load file format. InterLegis' EDD processing service, as a result, is among the most streamlined and cost-effective in the litigation support services market.
