The latest version of its award-winning BI solution - Skytide Analytical Platform was uptdated today to version 2.2. Skytide today announced the update, which includes significant product enhancements to support multi-terabyte data analysis; a single interface that can serve multiple user types; and extended integration options to support any reporting tool and any data source. With this new solution companies are able to analyze massive volumes of data in near real-time.

Some of the key features of the new version are:

- Ability to handle ten terabytes or more of data per day
- Ability to build very large models to support analysis of a large data set without sampling
- Rapid system recovery with Skytide Persistent Cube
- Near real-time results for analysis and reports with Skytide Incremental Update
- Support for differing levels of BI expertise
- Available as standalone or web-based configuration
- Full JDBC/ODBC support to integrate with any reporting tool
- Full REGEX support to enable access to any data source

The software that links traditional and non-traditional data sources to uncover the hidden details behind a company's key business metrics. It operates without a data warehouse or any ETL required. Joseph Rozenfeld, vice president of strategy and solutions at Skytide stated: "Companies in almost every industry are now generating huge volumes of network or customer interaction-related, semi-structured data that they need to analyze, but traditional BI technology is not suited for analyzing this data with little or no latency. Skytide was specifically designed to address both the format complexity and the volume of data generated by today's transactional networks. Skytide Analytical Platform 2.2 brings the industry's most robust capabilities to large-volume data environments".

Target markets are e-commerce sites, communications networks, data centers, and other companies generating billions of transaction records every day that are stored in log files on filers outside of databases and data warehouses. The innformation is hidden within this transaction data that could be used to understand and measure customer value, manage service level agreements and quality of service, and provide insights into system performance.

Skytide's award-winning technology uses XML as a common layer to dramatically reduce system complexity while offering advanced functionality that cannot be achieved by traditional BI technology. Application areas for Skytide technology include contact centers, risk and security management, compliance, and other areas of business that generate significant volumes of mission-critical unstructured and semi-structured data.
