SPAMfighter has recorded overwhelming increases in users joining the community. Thus, its the 3 millionth user, a woman in Finland, was recorded on March 13, 2007 at 2:53 p.m.. Apparently, this was caused by the new improvements made in the system.

    The spam filter has become more powerful and more effective thanks to a number of successes obtained within the past 6 months. Better filtering is included, in addition to a support for newer technologies.  Servers worldwide can now be put into operation.
Still, the job isn't so easy, as spam filters are easily bypassed by spammers, who create new forms of spam mail. But SPAMfighter is trying to keep up to date in order to stop these latest forms of spam.

    The latest e-mail clients and operating systems are supported by SPAMfighter, including those of Windows Vista, Outlook 2007, and Windows Mail. Thus, Windows Vista users were provided with a new version of SPAMfighter.
Since it has users in over 210 countries, SPAMfighter has employed the services of Akamai, giving SPAMfighter a more local presence with over 20,000 servers worldwide. Better website performance is thus secured no matter where it is being viewed in the world. Also, the downloading time is decreased.

    A spam mail arriving to a SPAMfighter user, that wasn't filtered by the SPAMfighter, can be reported in just one click. If the spam mail gets reported more times, all other users get it automatically filtered out. The increase in the number of users gives SPAMfighter more power against the spammers.

    SPAMfighter is one of the best spam filter developers in Europe. The founders Jubii.dk, Henrik Sørensen and Martin Thorborg, together with two programmers, Daniel Hjortholt and Martin Dyring are the ones who own the Danish company. SPAMfighter employs 30 people and is based in Copenhagen. SPAMfighter is debt-free and is 100 per cent financed by income from the sale of the SPAMfighter client. Each day, SPAMfighter removes around 10 million spam messages from 14 million tested emails received by over 3 users in 210 countries/regions.

About 90 percent of all spam is filtered out before it reaches any given user.
