The new technology partnership will enable any organization or Government agency to enhance efficiency, increase security and reduce costs by consolidating multiple identity and security credentials onto a single device which enables employees to securely access both physical and logical resources. The partnership betwen the provider of physical security management systems and the manufacturer of Magicard secure ID card printers was signed today. The Intercede's MyID® smart card and identity management system and Hirsch's Velocity physical access control system (PACS) and Magicard printers will enable Physical/Logical access convergence.
The Physical/Logical interoperability will be demonstrated at ISC West in Las Vegas on March 28 - 30, 2007, in booth #26049.
The pre-configured card, credential and identity management solution, named MyID PIV, provides both 'out-of-the-box' PIV card issuance and management capabilities along with a highly flexible and configurable integration platform for existing services, applications and processes.
