The data security company, Norman ASA, announced today that it has completed the OPSWAT OESISOK certification program. This certification provides Norman prospects and customers with independent verification that Norman's security software for single and corporate users operate seamlessly within a network's existing connectivity framework. The certified anti-malware products include the world's leading proactive anti-malware solution, Norman SandBox.

The OESISOK certification was awarded for three security categories, antispyware, antivirus and personal firewall. The certified anti-malware products include a proactive technology designed to resolve the daily capture of thousands of unknown threats such as trojans, virus and spyware, which is essential in the daily battle against cyber crime, Norman SandBox.

Vice president of marketing and business development, Audun Lodemel, stated: "The endpoint has become the Achilles' heel in the war of protecting critical business systems against cyber crime." He added: "The OESISOK interoperability certification program gives IT administrators confidence that Norman's endpoint security applications will work properly with network infrastructure solutions from a variety of providers such as Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems, SonicWALL, F5 Networks, 3Com Corporation and others."

In order to ensure that a security application is both functional and interoperable with any network device or product, the OESISOK certification program is comprised of several stages of comprehensive installation and verification testing.
