The company Third Eye produces surveillance systems to companies concerned with the safety and security of their employees. At the ISC West Expo, the company launched its unique, non-invasive employee security and safety surveillance tracking system.
SPO Medical developed a bio-sensor chip with proprietary algorithms to collect information from the reflectance of light on the human body, in a non-invasive manner, to monitor key vital signs, including heart rate and oxygen saturation levels. The Security Alert Tracking System (SATS) leverages SPO Medical's technology for monitoring key vital signs. SPO Medical has adapted its technology to various medical and consumer products which are distributed worldwide. Recognizing that the human heart rate fluctuates in stressful situations, such as when a person is subjected to threatening behavior or engaging in illegal activities, the Companies have extended the technology to create a system which can monitor employee safety and possible employee misappropriations.
David Sims, Jr., President of Third Eye, stated: "We are delighted to introduce SATS at the New Product Showcase of ICS West. Increasingly companies are looking for unobtrusive ways to monitor both employee safety and security. SPO Medical's technology offers an innovative solution. Together with SPO we will demonstrate SATS' ease-of-use and technical capabilities for two key markets: the gaming industry, which is concerned with casino theft, and the banking industry, which is concerned with security and surveillance. We look forward to being well received by both potential customers at the Expo and the showcase's panel. We're confident that the partnership with SPO Medical in the security and surveillance arena will create similar success to that demonstrated by SPO Medical in the medical device market." The wrist-mounted device that employees can wear comfortably sends information wirelessly to the employer's central monitoring system. The device is monitoring if the heart-rate exhibits unnatural fluctuations, the information is captured on the wrist unit and transmitted to the central monitoring system. The receiving system can be configured with a video surveillance system to trigger cameras to zoom in on the employee. Used in a casino, bank, office or store, SATS allows the employer's surveillance staff to immediately focus on the employee with unnatural heart-rate fluctuations and determine the source of the stress. This enhances employee security at the company and also can be deployed to assist in apprehending employees engaged in unlawful activities.
