JSCAPE Secure FTP Server Version 3.0 was released not long ago. This is a platform independent managed file transfer solution that now supports all file transfer protocols including FTP/S, HTTP/S, SMTP, POP, IMAP, PGP and the newly added SFTP/SSH protocol.

One method of choice to exchange data with trading partners  that becomes more popular is te electronic file transfer. Unfortunately, there are several file transfer protocols in use today and few developers are able to agree on a common protocol. The result is a complex web of interconnected servers and ad-hoc processes. Usually these processes cannot be centrally managed or easily monitored leaving companies unaware of what data is leaving their organization.

In some cases due to the lack of process visibility these incidents have gone undiscovered for several months. This serious problem has become a highly known public nightmare for people who have had intellectual property and sensitive consumer information and data such as credit cards, social security numbers and banking information stolen.

These problems are solved by offering a platform independent server that can centrally manage file transfers made using virtually any file transfer protocol, like JSCAPE Secure FTP Server. In addition to clarify file transfers and offering process visibility, JSCAPE Secure FTP Server also includes enterprise security, auditing and reporting features that assist companies in meeting Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA file transfer requirements.

The sensitive data is protected during transit and optionally at rest using high-grade SSL and OpenPGP encryption technologies. This is critical for many companies who are now subject to HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley data protection requirements. You can  receive email notifications on the events that are important to you. For example, as a system administrator you may wish to be notified via email if a users account is disabled due to a successive number of invalid login attempts. Use OpenPGP encryption to ensure that your data is encrypted while at rest or to automatically decrypt files sent to you by your customers who use OpenPGP encryption.

The Server pricing starts at $2,999.00 for the Professional Edition and $5,999.00 for the Enterprise Edition. Installers are available for Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac OS X platforms.
