A new service was launched recently by Fortiva, a service that offers the possibility of a seamless transition from legacy archiving solutions to Fortiva's on-demand email archive. Offered by the company's Professional Services Division, the service facilitates the transfer of email data from on-premise or hosted email archiving products to Fortiva's on-demand email archive, without risking the integrity of the information or requiring the time and effort of in-house IT staff.
Michael Urman, SVP Operations, ML Stern, stated: "Managing an email archive on-premise is a time-consuming and laborious job for IT - and it only gets worse as the archive size continues to grow. Moving over to Fortiva from our legacy archive was really painless as a result of their import service. Since we switched, we've drastically reduced the time our IT teams spends managing the archive and doing backups, and our supervision team is much happier with the functionality of Fortiva than with our previous system. At the end of the day, we're an investment firm. We're not an IT firm. We'd rather rely on people who specialize in archiving so we can focus on what we do best."
Im addition, Eric Goodwin, CEO, Fortiva, said: "Many businesses, especially in the heavily regulated financial services industry, are still running legacy email archiving products that were installed to meet regulations five years ago or longer. "These products are slow, they lack Fortiva's functionality, and they require a great deal of time and effort on the part of IT to manage. Until now, the prospect of moving the data was too intimidating to consider - but with our Migration Service, businesses can easily switch to Fortiva's next-generation email archive without any issues."
Developed by Fortiva in response to a strong demand from potential customers who wanted to take advantage of the benefits of Fortiva's enterprise-grade, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, but who needed to have access to previously archived data for legal and regulatory compliance as well as productivity reasons. The company has already completed imports from leading solution providers including Zantaz, Computer Associates, EMC and Iron Mountain, among others. With the Fortiva Migration Service, migrated data is fully indexed, searchable and encrypted for security.
The company, Fortiva, is the leading provider of on-demand email archiving solutions for Microsoft Exchange offering storage reduction, legal discovery and regulatory compliance. With a global data center presence, Fortiva bings its enterprise-grade solutions through a strong network of strategic partnerships, including Microsoft Managed Solutions (MMS), Bell Canada, Mercury Technologies and MessageLabs.
