Premier Election Solutions recently named the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of information security consulting firm CynergisTek, Mac McMillan, to it's new board of directors. Premier formed the new board as a part of its current corporate governance overhaul which is designed to increase its independence from parent company Diebold. Mr. McMillan will advise the company on all aspects of computer systems security and is one of two new outside directors named to the board.

With more than twenty-five years of intelligence and security countermeasures experience, Mr. McMillan has developed security services specifically for the banking, healthcare and government sectors. CynergisTek, Inc., Mr. McMillan's current company, is a leading information technology consulting firm, specializing in information security risk management, IT infrastructure and IT audit for the healthcare, regulatory compliance, financial services, education and real estate industries. Mr. McMillan, prior to co-founding CynergisTek, worked as the National Practice Director for Information Security Solutions for CTG, the Senior Vice President of E-Security Business Development for DOLFIN.COM, and the director of security for Department of Defense agencies where he was the Designated Accrediting Authority for more than 60 sensitive worldwide information networks and information systems. Mr. McMillan also served as a Lieutenant Colonel and Information Officer for the U.S. Marine Corps for more than twenty years. Mr. McMillan holds a Masters of Arts degree in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College, a Bachelors of Science degree in education from Texas A&M University and is a graduate of the Senior Officials in National Security program from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
