The joint efforts of P&TLuxembourg, Datacenter Luxembourg and Inexio have achieved to develop this new connectivity platform that will distinguish Luxembourg as a unique and secure place for ICT companies, operators and e-commerce clients by establishing Luxemburg as a major European exchange point with large and reliable international connections. This redundant fiber-ring provides Luxembourg with a cutting edge Internet network giving the country the unique possibility to attract also bandwidth intense customers in the future.
Inexio has been building a next generation optical Ethernet backbone with a capacity of up to 3.200 Gbit/s, about 1,6 million DSL subscriber lines in southwestern Germany, connecting Karlsruhe, Mannheim, Frankfurt, Kaiserslautern and Saarbrücken, Merzig, Saarlouis and Perl. Inexio Founder and CEO David A. Zimmer, says: "We found a great partner in P&TLuxembourg and TERALINK to extend our network to Luxembourg and offer our corporate customers high-bandwidth connections for data, Internet and storage applications".
The benefits for Datacenter Luxembourg are significant. It will allow them to attract even more international e-commerces, as well as drive their entrance into the favorable markets of IPTV and Streaming.
