As a result of internal access to sensitive information, are seventy to eighty percent of data security breaches. These statistics illustrate why companies are moving to safeguard data with approaches that go beyond network security and data masking or encryption which can be circumvented by clever perpetrators with inside access. There is enormous demand for integrated data protection and monitoring solutions like the new combined Approva-Lumigent offering, with the number of data privacy and security breaches growing quickly.
Including Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, Oracle and Sybase ASE, Lumigent Audit DB monitors for abuse of information security policies and inappropriate access and use of sensitive access at the database level. By monitoring access to both the company's databases and access to key financial systems within the organization, the joint offering adds a second layer of information protection. The fact that segregation of duties (SoD) monitoring can now be achieved at the database level with the Approva-Lumigent joint offering is the other big advantage.
Approva Founder and CEO, Prashanth "PV" Boccasam, said: "Recently recognized by Forrester Research as a leader in the emerging database auditing market, Lumigent's technology combined with Approva's controls intelligence solutions offers a more comprehensive audit solution than anything else available in the market". "This partnership allows our customers to fully capitalize on the dual benefits of database auditing and continuous controls monitoring with a single solution offered jointly by Approva."
