Tilana Systems Corporation (http://www.tilana.com ), continuing to build on its channel distribution strategy, announced today the new Tilana Partner Kit, which fully describes everything included with the company’s Tilana online CDP, data protection, synchronization, and archive SaaS platform.

    The Tilana Partner Kit explains in plain terms all that goes into a partner’s new co-branded SaaS powered by Tilana including how their personnel can be trained to sell and support the new offering, how and where their branding elements will be applied, as well as how everything fits into their existing network infrastructure:

    Tilana TrueCDP™, is the server side of the Tilana platform, which uses Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and installs on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and 2000. Microsoft IIS 6.0 with ASP.net 2.0 is required to implement the web access portion of the Tilana user interface.

    The Tilana Reserve Desktop software for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows Mobile 5 & 6 includes encrypted CDP (Continuous Data Protection) backup to managed remote data center storage, folder and file sync across multiple computers, and automatic unlimited versioning, all through a secure and Web accessible Personal Digital Archive. A Mac OS X Leopard version of Tilana Reserve is currently in development.

    The Tilana Reserve desktop software is a free download, installs in about a minute and requires little if any configuration. Users can choose to enable an unlimited number of computers with the software, and then selectively protect and/or synchronize files and folders on those computers via their personal remote storage space.
