Five easy options offered by L-Mail.com that aim at cutting down the impact of postal increases will appear on the market.
Peter Harris, mail expert at online letter writing service L-Mail. com, stated: "Royal Mail will be increasing First Class postage by 2p to 34p, Second Class by 1p to 24p and a three page International letter by 6p to 78p, but consumers and businesses still have opportunities to cut the costs associated with keeping in touch."
The five options described by Harris are:
1. Buying stamps in advance.
You can buy in advance stamps that are labeled 1st and 2nd class. There will be a postal rise on 2 April, so a pre-purchase would be a good idea, as about 5% of the postage costs could be saved.
2. Sending an L-Mail.
You could save money by sending a letter via a PC than one via the post. Thus, you can send a three page L-Mail to the USA for £0.57, as compared to the new air mail price of £0.76. The paper, envelope, stamp and ink are included in the L-Mail prices. Letters are printed by L-Mail from 23 locations worldwide. In addition, business users can benefit from more discounts.
3. Sending an E-Mail.
Sending an email is not exactly free, as it is included in the fees charged by the Internet Service Provider. It is getting more and more difficult to send legitimate mail to the correct recipient, as over two thirds of email is being classed as spam.
4. Making a phone call - VoIP
Domestic and International calling have become a lot more cheaper because of the new phone packages and VoIPs. Thanks to VoIP, that charges only a couple of pennies per minute, talking can become as cheep as a second class stamp.
5. Sending a fax
A fax could also be a good solution for sending a message. Buying a fax machine could be quite expensive. Still, a fax can be sent at a certain price with the help of online fax services. Fax service is offered by Moneybookers.com at EUR0.50 per page, cheaper than with the international post.
Harris said: "Businesses may be used to buying stamps or credits for franking machines but the L-Mail option is looking increasingly competitive. Not only does L-Mail provide the stamp, but is also printing and posting letters on behalf of its growing list of clients."
Electronic letters are accepted by L-Mail.com, either through its web site or via its automated integration account (an API ). Letters are then printed and posted.
Peter Harris also said: "Where a post office will charge £0.78 for an airmail stamp to Australia, L-Mail will process a 4 page letter for a charge from £0.70 including all the stationery, postage and dispatch of the letter from within Australia. The end result is fast delivery and financial savings. Our clients are giving us great feedback on our service. Many are appreciative of removing the mailing chore so they can focus on their core business."
The growth of email might be threatening to L-Mail, but Harris thinks otherwise: "Email bounces back, and with ever increasingly keen spam filters, the humble letter is often a safe alternative when it comes to needing to get in touch with a client."
Among the advantages that businesses take into consideration when choosing L-Mail are saving money or even integrating online systems with the L-Mail platform to automatically generate correspondence. Address verification and account activation codes are sent to clients. In addition, the Braille Translation service is also provided by L-Mail.
