A security software company specializing in host intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), Third Brigade (http://www.thirdbrigade.com ), announced  the appointment of Sam Morcos as the new Vice President of Global Sales and Field Operations and that rising global demand for its Third Brigade Deep Security product suite has prompted increased global sales presence.

Demand for Third Brigade Deep Security host intrusion defense solutions in global markets are drove by looming deadlines for PCI DSS application security requirements, recent widespread SQL injection web attacks affecting servers and endpoints, and increasing virtualization deployments. To help support this growing demand and expansion into new European and Asian markets, growing channel and sales presence has lead to the appointment of veteran security sales executive, Sam Morcos.

Including expertise in U.S. Federal government, virtualization environments, and extensive experience in endpoint and enterprise security, Third Brigade has increased, since the beginning of the year, its direct sales presence in the United Kingdom and the Unites States.
The Third Brigade sales, field operations, and business development teams in Europe, US, Canada, with this new role, all report into Mr. Morcos.

With the last 10 years focused on enterprise security, Sam Morcos, prior to Third Brigade, spent 20 years fostering customer and partner relationships in high-technology organizations. He was, most recently, the Senior Vice President, Sales & Services at Entrust, Inc. Including Vice President Operations, Asia Pacific and Latin America, Mr. Morcos, during his time at Entrust, held senior management positions in sales, channel programs and operations. Mr. Morcos was also the Vice President Worldwide Sales for Klocwork, Inc. and previously spent nine years at Digital Equipment Corporation.
