The fact that it has appointed Harriet Edelman and John Stenbit to its Board of Directors has been announced today by a leading innovator of secure information sharing and information assurance products and solutions, Cryptek, Inc.

With over twenty years of global operating experience with Avon Products, Inc., Harriet Edelman is an accomplished executive. Harriet served on Avon's Executive Committee and, over the course of her career, led Information Technology, Sales, Distribution, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing and Customer Service. As Senior Vice President & CIO, most recently, Harriet was responsible for Avon's information technology strategy and operations globally. In 2008, she retired from the company. She currently serves as an independent director of Brinker International, Inc. and previously served as an independent director of the Hershey Company and Blair Corporation. Harriet is Vice President of the Board of the Police Athletic League of New York, Corporate Circle member of the National Council for Research on Women (NCRW) and a Trustee of the National Committee for Women in Technology (NCWIT).
From 2001 to 2004, John Stenbit served as Assistant Secretary of Defense Networks and Information Integration (NII) and as Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Department of Defense. John, previously worked at TRW as an Executive Vice President responsible for the Systems Integration of large systems to support the DoD and other security interests. John has chaired the Science and Technology Advisory Panel under the Director of Central Intelligence and was a member of the advisory board of the Defense Communications Agency. John currently serves as an independent director for Cogent, SI International, Viasat, Loral Space & Communications, and SM&A, and is also a trustee for Mitre Corporation. John has previously served as an advisor to Cryptek and Lucent Technologies. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, Tau Beta Pi and the Defense Science Board and other government advisory boards.
