The leading cross platform application for file replication and synchronization, FileReplicationPro, today announced the results of an alarming new survey detailing corporate data storage and backup policy. Including: hard disk malfunction (87 percent), computer virus (31 percent) and notebook/computer theft (18 percent), fully 92 percent of business users have lost valuable business data under various circumstances. With only 56 percent of survey respondents reporting access to alternative data sources, the lack of suitable backup and file replication solutions, indicates that there could be significant disruption to many businesses in the event of primary data loss.
Showing that while nearly all (89.58 percent) enterprises have more than one location and over 70 percent synchronize data between those locations, a further startling result from the survey showcased that only 43 percent do so more than once a day. This lack of transparency and unequal availability to the latest data, with the rapid rate of change of information in today's business environment, can result in poor decision making and be very costly to companies. A combination of time constraints, complicated installation and maintenance procedures and expense accounted for over 53 percent of the reasons why companies have not devised file replication policies, is further illustrated by the survey.

FileReplicationPro, with advanced bit level copy algorithms, is able to replicate and synchronize data rapidly with efficient use of network and system resources.
