A leading computer forensics and e-discovery firm headquartered on the U.S. Gulf Coast, Electronic Evidence Retrieval, L.L.C. (EER), today announced that it will use Equivio's technology for near-duplicates and e-mail threads to reduce the time and effort required to review evidence retrieved from electronic and OCR files.

Founder and CEO of EER, Dr. Johnette Hassell, said: "Using Equivio's technology for near-duplicates and e-mail threads further expands the scope of service we provide our customers". "By using Equivio, we are now able to offer our clients enhanced computer forensic and e-discovery solutions that significantly lower the cost of document review."

EER utilized Equivio in a recent case for the law firm of Chaffe McCall LLP. "Equivio saves far more than the 25% the company advertises", commented Attorney of Chaffe McCall, Robert S. Rooth, on the review efficiencies yielded by the near-duplicate technology.

Complementing its full-service computer forensics and e discovery solutions, EER can perform, through the new partnership with Equivio, detection and reporting of near-duplicate documents and e-mail threads. The grouping of near-duplicates and e-mail threads allows attorneys to skip redundant data and focus on the unique information in each document. Equivio shortens, by reducing time wasted on reviewing duplicate data, the path to finding key information.

CEO of Equivio, Amir Milo, commented: "EER is a very experienced player in the computer forensics and e-discovery market, with a clear understanding of what it takes to get the right information to the right attorney at the right time".  "In choosing Equivio, EER has identified the need for technology that reduces the cost, complexity and risk of litigation."
