Pros: I would absolutely recommend you Drive Crypt Plus Pack. This software is so great because it has this feature called bootauth, this feature is installed onto your default system boot disk (C: in most cases) and provides you with a fully graphical login mechanism; this allows you to authenticate yourself before windows boots and provides an extra layer of security for your computer. Before the operating system boots, you will now be presented with a password entry screen.
Some of the features of this software:
1. Boot protection
2. Pre-Boot authentication: Login before starting the operating system
3. Multiple OS boot support (Microsoft)
4. Invisible operating system (possibility to hide the entire operating system)
5. Full or partial hard disk encryption
6. Sector level protection
7. Complete "power off" protection i.e. unauthorized users are prohibited from starting up the PC
8. AES 256 bit encryption
9. Full hibernation support (hibernation files and disk-dump data are securely encrypted)
10.No size limitation for encrypted disks
I am using it since some time now and I am truly satisfied with the protection it provides. You can test it, you have nothing to loose, you can download the trial version (which is available 30 days) from here: http://www.securstar.com/products_drivecryptpp.php
I have already suggested some of the features DCPP has to offer but I'm sure you can find a lot more info on the soft's website. I've only wrote down the features that i like and use the most.
Cons:
A good encrypting software!

Pros: I use DCPP at the office and I`m really satisfied how it works, never had a major problem with it. Also, I find is a good thing that you have the possibility to make a rescue disk so if the bootauth is somehow deleted, or the MBR corrupted you have the possibility to rewrite the bootauth and save the encrypted data. Encrypting my PC with DCPP make me feel secure knowing that nobody will be able to access my data without knowing the password.
