A leading provider of secure networking solutions and the world's largest developer of emanation security products, Cryptek, Inc. (http://www.cryptek.com), announced that it has been selected by GTSI Corp. to provide a variety of highly secure computer systems and devices under the Federal Bureau of Investigation Technology Refresh Program (TRP).GTSI was the only company to provide emanation security products and one of three companies to win an award under TRP. The $290M IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity) award runs for five years. The FBI plans, under TRP, to modernize 20% of its IT hardware annually.
Cryptek, under this agreement with GTSI, will provide a wide range of emanation security products and devices to the FBI including PCs, monitors and peripherals. By shielding electronic systems from unwanted, surreptitious monitoring of computer systems and other electronic devices, Cryptek emanation security products are designed to protect highly sensitive data. By limiting the stray signals and electromagnetic waves they produce, Cryptek has developed advanced techniques for protecting electronic devices.
