A Columbia based company, Prism Microsystems, inaugurated its new corporate headquarters located at 8815 Centre Park Drive, Columbia MD. Bolstered by the tremendous success of its security information and event management solution (SIEM), EventTracker, the new larger facility will house the company's growing operations. To monitor and manage their mission-critical IT infrastructures, EventTracker has been chosen by over 650 global companies in 50 countries.

Due to increasing awareness on the criticality of deploying SIEM solutions to detect security vulnerabilities, the company is currently experiencing unprecedented growth. Companies are realizing, with the proliferation of increasingly indiscriminate and aggressive cyber attacks, together with stringent compliance regulations, the importance of monitoring their IT infrastructures to prevent costly data breaches.

Since its inception in 1999, Prism Microsystems has experienced 100% year on year growth and has one of the largest customer bases in this rapidly expanding SIEM market. The company anticipates not only maintaining this momentum but also exceeding company goals over the next few years, and the relocation to the new facility provides Prism with the necessary infrastructure to accommodate its rapidly growing workforce and provides a foundation for its aggressive expansion plans

CEO of Prism Microsystems Inc., A.N. Ananth, said: "When we outgrew our current headquarters we evaluated several different locations in the area including Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Montgomery County here in Maryland. We chose to remain in Columbia and Howard County due to its excellent infrastructure, convenience and well-qualified workforce".

To support the increased sales and marketing activities in the US as well as to meet the growing demand for security information and event management in Asia and Australia, Prism Microsystems also recently announced plans to ramp up operations at its development facility in India.
