Jaime Chanaga, Chairman and CEO of The CSO Board decided to help consumers and business executives understand the impact of technology on personal information privacy issues. Thus, he made his blog public, sharing data privacy and security insights in order for consumers and businesses to be able to protect themselves, their family, and their business from information security risks. The blog can be viewed and subscribed to via RSS at http://blog.csoboard.com.

As shown in a lot of news headlines, organizations have a lot of difficulties and are faced with a lot of risks in truing to protect the personal and business information of their customers, employees, and business partners.

Jaime Chanaga stated:  "You only have to look at recent information security personal data losses at universities, health care organizations, credit bureaus, and major corporations to understand the risks we face in having our personal data exposed to online theft and data security breaches. Consumers have to become smarter about how they use, share, and protect their personal information on the Internet. At the same time, organizations both public and private should do more to protect their customers' information."

Jaime Chanaga is co-author of Corporate Security in the Information Age (Aspatore Books). He is an expert analysis of key business, technology, and security issues, reaching a global readership through articles and interviews in Computerworld Magazine, SC Magazine, InfoWorld, CSO Magazine and other publications. He serves on SC Magazine's Editorial Advisory Board and other business and industry boards.

The professional designations of Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) have been given to Jaime Chanaga. According to the Chief Technology Officer:  “Jaime is an outstanding visionary in the realm of information security. One of the key values of The CSO Board is the ability to provide strategic security advice which mitigates risk and enables new business models, thereby positively affecting the bottom line.”

The CSO Board, a management consulting firm, serves clients on issues of strategy, technology, and information security. The firm was founded on the belief that each client is distinct, and each client merits a distinct intervention. The company tries helping clients to solve their most important problems and help them make distinctive, lasting and substantial improvements in their performance.
