The immediate availability of a beta Linux version of its Tilana RealCDP server software, which enables corporate and small business servers as cloud storage data centers that offer storage based sync, backup, and archive for multiple end users with multiple PCs in each end user account has been announced today by Tilana Systems Corporation.Beging to offer annual licensing at its online store, the company announced, in June, the commercial availability of Tilana RealCDP for Windows.
Tilana CEO, Joe Austin, says: "Now anyone with a Linux server can install Tilana RealCDP and experience the same incredible PC data protection and sync features provided by our Tilana Reserve service." He continued: "Those interested in beta testing this new version should contact us to try it for themselves."
Tilana Reserve is the company's monthly subscription service, which is implemented by technology now packaged as a network software installation called Tilana RealCDP Suite. To enjoy the benefits of cloud based multiple PC auto-sync, real-time automatic CDP backup, and web accessible archive using storage accounts allocated on servers in the Tilana data center, Tilana Reserve users pay per GB per month.
Now with Tilana RealCDP a company or individual can essentially build their own in-house version of the Tilana Reserve service, and pay annually for software licensing instead of monthly for service subscription.Including server storage based folder and file synchronization, encrypted true real time online CDP ("Continuous Data Protection" from automated schedule-free immediate backup transfers), unlimited server stored version history, automatic archive, and web/mobile data center access, the complete Tilana RealCDP client-server system enables server and mobile PC networks with the robust set of Tilana features.
Desktop software called Tilana Client™ for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 2000 includes encrypted real time CDP, folder and file synchronization across multiple computers, unlimited versioning, all through a secure and Web accessible Personal Digital Archive™ on the Tilana RealCDP enabled server.
The new Linux version of Tilana RealCDP currently installs on Red Hat Enterprise 5.x, and requires MySQL v5.x on the server for end user authentication and scalable user owned content storage, which can span across multiple storage databases, on multiple storage servers, with no need for multiple installations of Tilana RealCDP.
