The leader in controls intelligence software, Approva® Corporation, announced that NASA’s premier developer and integrator of launch systems for science and exploration, the Marshall Space Flight Center, has licensed Approva’s BizRights® Platform and Controls Intelligence Suite to monitor both user access controls and configurable controls across its agency-wide SAP deployment.Continuing a legacy of accomplishment that includes the Saturn V rocket that launched America’s astronauts to the moon; Skylab, the world’s first space station; the propulsion system for the space shuttle; Spacelab; the Hubble Space Telescope; and the construction and operation of the International Space Station, the Marshall Center is one of NASA’s largest field centers.
NASA required an automated solution that would independently validate key controls for their SAP applications while significantly reducing the time spent on reconciling manual data and preparing for year-end audits. NASA chose Approva’s continuous intelligence solution, after a competitive selection process, to implement both detective and preventive user access controls across their SAP environment, and to continuously monitor for segregation of duties (SoD) violations and unauthorized user activity.
Approva CEO, Prashanth “PV” Boccasam said:
"As the world leader in space exploration and a pioneer in global innovation, NASA’s selection of Approva validates our commitment to deliver world class risk and controls software to the public sector”. “We have tailored our products to address the unique compliance challenges facing federal, state and local government agencies and we are excited to add NASA to our long list of public sector customers that have selected Approva to strengthen their internal controls.
